The match to light the inferno was the coup and the disastrous ousting of a properly and fairly elected pro Russian President Yanukovych after years of American led NATO expansionism eastwards to leave Russia with nothing. The final indignity was Obama calling Russia a regional power - a shocking and provocative insult. And I bet he never withdrew it and apologised to Putrid. Putrid may have thought, "Right. I'll show him."
Certainly, our wonderful Revolution of Dignity was like a red rag to a bull - to Putrid.
