You need to call me in to discuss face-to-face, please my experiences and the history of West Midlands transport over the 57 years I have studied, lived and worked in Brum and the Black Country. In 57 years, you have only re-opened/improved the LFO line, Walsall to Rugeley and Moor Street Station through to a new Smethwick Galton Bridge station. And, you've built the most enormous railway station to replace the three times smaller University station. In eleven years, I have had two one-hour meetings with Laura Shoaf but, she is so high up in the hierarchy it seems she has no say in decision-making!
In 77 years, we are now in our third incarnation of New St Station and the second for Snow Hill station.
In 77 years, you have failed to build the two additional tunnels needed at New Street station, on either side, even when total rebuilding of the area on both sides was taking place!
You've destroyed about 100 Kms of W Mids railway line and another 100 Kms remains for trains. Less now, because of the trams and your intention to extend the dog walkers' paradise from Brownhills to Lichfield on the principal mainline railway "of national strategic significance".
