Is it sensible, let alone competent to be spending over £1 BILLION on only 10 Kms of tramway on some of the already built but unused 56 Kms of the UK's principal mainline railway "of national strategic significance", according to Network Rail and the Dept for Transport?

It will be well worth it for this borough and be useful for year to come. We have two railway stations with Dudley in their name but neither are in the Dudley borough.

Patrick referred to Dudley Port station and Sandwell and Dudley station that are both in Sandwell. Patrick could have had a reinstated Dudley mainline railway line and station outside the popular Station Hotel at the foot of Castle Hill. Do you think that hotel should now be renamed Tram Stop Hotel?
