Two mighty big but rather useless aircraft carriers, each costing a staggering £3.5 billion of white elephantine prestige to impress the world into obedient compliance with US-led Western ways.
One sailed in the South China Sea and the Taiwan Straits. If that had been a Chinese aircraft carrier in the English Channel or North Sea, all hell would have broken loose by the UK government and people. A very serious diplomatic incident would have ensued. Certainly, some tit-for-tat retribution would be implemented. For them, they just graciously accepted the presence of the carrier and turned the other cheek. A Chinese leadership not known for its Christ-like ways!
