Civilian Harm Mitigation is somewhat lacking in Gaza - even after 6 months.

Like my wife and our church that I attend, I am sure you also strongly feel that the Lord has a special place in His heart for Israel and, that the End Times will be played out in that land to fulfil Biblical prophecy.  Do you, therefore, cut some slack to Israel over their wars of self defence and, for as long as they wish, as in this case?

I heard on 'PM' tonight on Radio 4 that the Israeli government spokesman said,

"This was a tragedy.  This was a mistake that we regret.  The Chief of Staff of the IDF has apologised publicly.  This is an exception to the rule.  The data shows that Israel has gone out of its way to avoid civilian casualties in a way that no other army has in history."

This began an interview with Larry Lewis of CNA/National Security Analysis on 'Civilian Harm Mitigation'.  He said,

"Those precautions (roof knocking and providing phone calls) may have been effective in small scale operations but their value is dubious in the current situation in Gaza".
Evan Davies: "What is your overall conclusion? ... "
"I find this (Israel's unprecedented) claim misguided and also inconsistent with the facts on the ground in Gaza. ... I see very little evidence of the hallmarks of Civilian Harm Mitigation being exercised by Israel."
