Kyle Pedley

It is interesting to read what Kyle Pedley has penned.  My concern is that there is nothing in this letter about urgently getting out of double whammy fossil fuels that are both finite and give ever more and catastrophic greenhouse gas emissions to so worsen the planet's climates that all life on earth is threatened.

His campaigns fail to mention, therefore,
  • the urgency of finishing the 120 Kms principal mainline railway through Stourbridge - with commuter, regional and intercity TRAINS.
  • putting PV solar panels on all E, W, S facing roofs.
  • modest sized, highly insulated homes for low incomes and benefit tenants/owners like the Stourbridge Community Development Trust is working on.
  • extending the Clent Hills Country Park eastwards to the M5 to ensure that there is no new built development in the 30 sq Kms Golden Green triangle.  To be used only for farming and recreation.
  • free bus use for all to encourage modal shift from car commuting to bus commuting to free up road space for essential business users.
These are basic and obvious measures to improve our prospects and to respond, positively to the ongoing climate crisis.
