We are the rich and powerful.
Or, are we like the priest and the levite in the story of the Good Samaritan? Or the robber?
Israel is our friend, ally and member of our 'club'. Therefore, it is we who pick off the Gazans/Palestinians in Judea/Samaria one by one as the enemy.
We bomb and shoot them while we sleep easy in our beds.
We deprive them of food and water while we fatten ourselves on all the good things of life.
We give ourselves High Speed trains and Light Rail and Very Light Rail trams costing many billions while feeling so righteous in providing the poor with food banks and a little charity when they can't pay their energy bills.
We spend millions to convert road space and pavements for cyclists, while the UK's top, 18 Kms cycle/walkway lies a muddy, unfinished, neglected mess over the southern 5 Kms in the historic capital of the Black Country - Dudley.
We destroy Nature at Merry Hill Shopping Centre to get the nearby, principal mainline railway "of national strategic significance" - for trams, a test track and for dog walkers of all things, instead of TRAINS!
We spend millions on failing to stop the small boats while at the same time, officially, letting in a good few times more net migrants* to work/study while many enjoy early retirement and leisure and pleasure.
We let pariah Israel get on with it in Palestine while we turn over in our comfortable beds to sleep off the misery, suffering and death in Gaza.
Who is the real robber?
Who is the real victim?
And when will the Good Samaritan turn up - if ever?
Problematic, punitive Israel and the Vanished Samaritan.
