Water wastage on a grand scale at Windsor Great Park

“England must harvest rainfall and take action on water usage, Lords warn”

Yet, on yesterday’s visit, I saw the three most enormous, industrial scale, sprinklers well and truly dowsing Smith’s Lawn with 100% pure, fresh water.
Was this really necessary at the end of a cool, showery spell of weather and at the beginning of a dry period which may last most of the summer?
You were using a prodigious amount of water when my wife and I are using washing up water after cleaning the dishes, to water our garden. Setting you all a very good example!
Please put your point of view in reply. THANK YOU!
