Shock! Horror!

The two excellent maps show north-south railway lines EAST of Brum. The Black Country Mainline is one of only two north-south railway lines between Brum and the Irish Sea, on the W side. The other is Crewe, Shrewsbury, Hereford, Cardiff north-south railway. Hence, mine really is the only mainline, ready-built, mothballed railway on the W side of the UK, where there is a dearth. It is so mothballed it is forgotten and never used, for 56 Kms, would you believe. But the truth is, no-one DOES believe me!

Even the remains of High Scam 2 is on the E side to Lichfield. And Lichfield is exactly where my railway "of national strategic significance" goes on its way to Scotland. Shock! Horror!
