Please keep only to the permissive footpath alongside the R Stour

SOMERS PARK, Halesowen is much appreciated by us all but ... Obliging and generous local farmer, Philip Bibbey texted me: "... there are hundreds picnicking in the fields where the permissive footpath is and I'll be lucky to get half the crop of grass. With the dry weather that lost grass will be much needed."

The farmer's fields are outside Somers Park. PLEASE, no picnics and keep only to the ONE permissive path alongside the river Stour between Somers Park and the public footpaths near to the golf range road, via the 2018 metal gate at Bibbey's Hollow. The farm track from Bibbey's Hollow up the hill to Oatenfields Farm is not a public right of way. Please do not use it. We must not upset the farmer. We want all our farmers to keep producing our food and milk and never to sell any land to property developers.

THANKS!   Tim
