The two essential measures, above. Abandon high greenhouse gas emitting construction, especially on High Scam 2, Metro LR trams, as well as VLR trams. Keep it simple and stick to bus and train from now on. Mini-buses for rural and less popular routes.
Get the funds to put a cycle-walkway alongside both sides of the Dudley Southern Bypass, aka Duncan Edwards Way. Urgently upgrade the UK's major non-fossil fuel, active travel, 22 Kms Black Country Cycle-Walk Mudway so that it no longer has that description. It runs from Fens Pool Avenue, Brierley Hill's DY5 Enterprise Zone to NW Wolverhampton and beyond.
Move away from giving top priority to trams replacing buses and trains with commuter/regional trains on our surviving railway lines.
For active travel, give top priority to giving us a free draining, puddle-free, hard surface on all Black Country and Coventry towpaths, as you did in Brum last decade.
