High Scam 2 because the only argument in support is fraudulent

It is dishonest to claim that HS2 will improve capacity/services on the intercity line when there might well be a poorer service because passengers travelling between London and Birmingham might well transfer onto the high-speed line to leave fewer passengers using the intercity trains.  Perhaps, same frequency but shorter intercity trains, so intercity passengers won't then lose out.
