Dear Stuart
You and your team would be so welcome to attend, for the first time (!), please, our annual walk or cycle the UK's most important and longest, urban-rural-urban cycle-walkway in the heart of England.
Do put it in your diary, for 10 am on Sat 8 Aug at Himley Plantation car park to cycle north to stop at every tea room or coffee shop on the route - if you wish! And turn back when you wish. To highlight the disgraceful state of the mudway in Dudley's section, only. Brilliant in S Staffs and OK in Wolverhampton. Dreadful and dud and deadly - and for mudlarks only in Dudley Borough.
OBJECTIVE - to ditch the car and ditch the Dudley mud on their section of the 20 Kms business, commuter and leisure active travel route.
With your important and powerful post as Director of Black Country Transport, are you able to influence the upgrading of the Netherton Canal Tunnel towpath from slum disgrace to something we can actually use - PLEASE? Remember, cycle commuters as I was for years up to retirement, would like to use it to get to work.
Best wishes
