A mountain of corpses is mounting up in both the unHoly Land of Gaza and in Lebanon and Iran. This is very largely the responsibility of the Judeo-Christian world because the power, the control, the governance of the Middle East has lain more with them since the British Empire beat the Ottoman Empire in 1918.
Prior to that, our naval arms race with Germany drove the desperate search for oil in Iran to convert our warships to oil. Page 111, Bowen (read on for title): "The discovery of oil in southern Iran in 1908 changed everything, putting the Middle East front and centre in the minds of the leaders of the great powers, where it has stayed ever since. ... oil was much too precious to be left to the people who lived on top of it."
We Brits, followed by America, have been intervening, mostly disastrously, ever since. READ Jeremy Bowen - 'The Making of the Modern Middle East', pub 2022. Informed, accurate, balanced and moderate in tone but critical when necessary.
Yet, the Labour government is subservient to Trump and refuses to impose BDS on Israel despite the mounting death toll which makes the mountain of corpses - added to every day.
