Do an HS2 style swap, so Metro millions get used for freight and commuter, regional trains to finish the railway that Network Rail and DfT call "of national strategic significance". Which one do I mean?
Do an HS2 swap to finish electrification. Or, to restore our 100 Kms of mothballed or freight only railways in the region. Or, to get electric NOT hydrogen buses. Or, to insulate the homes of the poorest ... 101 more sensible and responsible projects are URGENT! (Climate and nature catastrophes slowly unfolding that trams worsen - how?)
