BETTER TO PUT UP WITH THE 'OTHER' IN PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE than an off-and-on, never-ending, tit-for-tat cycle of revenge killings.
The officers and members must get their priorities in order. They love greedy, luxury, projects instead of putting the lowest incomes first to build a more socially just and egalitarian society. I'm thinking of Sprint, Metro and High Scam 2 fast to stop at any stations, apart from one airport!!
Brum to Solihull already has good bus and train services. Now, they are getting Sprint, Metro and High Scam 2 to leave the rich getting more and the poor being left out to dry!
Our top officers and elected leaders are still intent on spending £100s m on grossly expensive trams to replace buses and trains, while Kidderminster, which is also in the W Midlands, has the most disgraceful slum bus station I have ever seen. It is indicative of how we love splashing out on prestigious and totally unnecessary transport projects rather than buses and regular commuter, regional, freight trains back in place on existing railway lines and, finally, in USE!
Similarly, our society is also biased towards coercion, force, violence, killings and warfare rather than constraint, fairness, getting the basics, the fundamentals right and building a more sustainable and just society based on living in tune with life support systems.
Our sick society is heavily dependent on killing products. Weapons of war continue to be manufactured and exported to Israel so that impoverished and desperate Gazans can continue to be killed. We support Israel to the hilt because they are like us - a rich, Western society but, in the heart of the Arab Middle East. The cuckoo in the nest. Therefore, rather than banning arms exports to Israel and Ukraine, we must now start killing Houthis who fire on our cargo vessels and, definitely, continue spending billions into the third year of killing Russians. Yet, the Russians were our allies in two world wars. The second war may well have ended in defeat if the Russians had not suffered 20 to 30 million dead in the 1940s to help us win. And we were lucky to win the first world war!
Put a Gazan and an Israeli next to each other in hospital beds and they'll talk to each other when outside they would not dream of having anything to do with each other. Killing each other, perhaps but not talking and helping and empathising.
Thirty years of the Troubles/Killings in N Ireland that spilled over into England was resolved by talking and compromise. But the English had to take the initiative with secret talks that Margaret Thatcher lied about to the House of Commons. But John Major and Tony Blair ran with it - taking on the discussions and talking to eventual fruition in 1998.
Centuries of war and hatred between the English and the French with seven or eight wars, finally ended in talking.
Four decades of war between the Brits and the Germans ended in 1945 and now we are both close friends and allies.
75 years of control, coercion, force, violence, killings and warfare between Israel and the Arabs can end with talking and compromise and sacrifice for those who have everything, anyway and, who need to share the land.
The rich, powerful World Policeman (with us in tow as their small tender) must bow to the United Nations and accept that the American-led West must start being the Good Samaritan to the weak and powerless - like Gazans and the Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank who are being overrun by settlements - 700,000 Israelis and rising, so far.
Peaceful co-existence instead of killing to annihilation. Some of us call it ecocide. But we are rebelling from extinction.
