The problem is we are all living longer, both the indigenous population and new arrivals (about 95% are legal migrants, not small boats) are rising and the area of habitable land is not increasing in line with our ever-increasing demands for more, bigger, better of everything.  We need to control our own fertility.  We need to live smaller and less greedily and to share life's essentials with those who are suffering hardship, poverty and war, largely because of our over-demanding lifestyles straining life support systems around the globe.
