Only now, 13 November 2023, after 5 weeks of indiscriminate slaughter of wholly innocent people and children (11,000) do we have our first Western politician breaking the unanimity - President Macron. LibDems, too. Really. What a shameful and disgraceful bunch of Tory/Labour politicians.
Today, 12 January 2024, Humza Yousaf said, "I wish that UK ministers cared as much about children dying in the Middle East as they did about cargo ships."
Very well said. HMG should have tried insisting on another 7 day ceasefire for hostage releases. And banned arm sales to Israel. That might have been enough for the Houthis to stop their Red Sea attacks.
13 January: Instead of bringing life and liberty to the Palestinians (23,000 dead) and the release of more hostages with another 7 day ceasefire, we chose to support the vicious, far right Israeli government by our guilty silence over their cruel slaughter of wholly innocent men, women and children. And our side also indulged in a second night of air strikes in Yemen to add to all the other pointless and immoral air strikes down the decades of Western freedom, democracy and the pursuit of happiness brought down the barrel of a gun. But not an ounce of shame! The violent death dealers of Israel are even worse than Hamas soldiers. And now US/UK have joined in the killings for two nights.
Will this slaughter ever end?
