Dear Joe

Are you interested in exposing how every new transport project in the West Midlands Combined Authority is over budget and late in delivery?  Despite internal and external auditors!

AND, they are simply replacing perfectly good bus routes and train services with trams at the most colossal expense in capital costs and, even more so, in revenue expenditure, from the very high subsidy that trams demand when compared with buses!

AND, some railway lines are to get their TRAINS back later ("Light rail investment provides the basis for restoring heavy rail services at the appropriate time."  (Sept 2000 letter to self from Tom Magrath, Passenger Services Director, Centro)
