​I’m interested in the whole climate question and consider it of vital importance. However, I’m very sceptical of the mainstream science since it has so consistently failed to deliver the many promised catastrophes. I’m also sceptical because every one of the promised catastrophes has increased taxation and control while delivering nothing. Please don’t think I don’t take climate change or man’s potential contribution to it seriously. However, my background is engineering and the greatest lesson in engineering is to understand the problem before attempting to solve it.

I’m sceptical of government involvement in any scientific question. I saw a great illustration which took approximately the following form: Joe Blogs is a professor of zoology. He wants to spend his summer sitting in a treehouse watching squirrels. So he submits a research grant request to study the mating habits of said squirrels and is summarily turned down. So instead he resubmits but wants to study the effects of climate change on the mating habits of said squirrels. The grant is made. Now when asked about climate change, he knows that his funding depends on keeping up the climate change narrative so if asked he’ll talk at length about how climate change is a threat to his squirrels. He’s now a climate change scientist with absolutely zero knowledge of atmospheric physics or climate science.

This is not a real example but does demonstrate how quickly and easily the involvement of government with agendas and narratives to sell, can corrupt and degrade science.

I’ll say again, I care about the environment, climate and the potential for man to spoil them. However, as long as government is involved, we’re guaranteed to spend more money and do more harm than good​.

4) Can you please give me an example of a Climate Emergency catastrophe, as you would define it?

5) Did you see Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth?

6) What were the false facts in that film?

7) Did you see the Peoples Emergency Briefing film with a host of eminent people sounding off?

8) Have you read anything about why national, regional and local governments have declared Climate Emergencies?

9) What is your "understand(ing) of the problem before attempting to solve it."?

10) Have you read the history of Climate Science in Wikipedia or other authority?

11) Do you have examples of scientists who have bowed to "corrupt and degrade science"?

12) What has any government around the world done to minimise Climate impacts which have been a wrong use of taxpayers' money to "do more harm than good"?

13) What role is there for individuals to act and how?

14) What do you make of Trump's insistence that we must use and burn as much oil, coal and natural gas as we can lay our hands on?

15) How does your energy bill at Hafodowen compare with your previous one?

16) What were your reasons for moving, please?

17) What was Land  Rover/JLR learning from driving over that very well frozen lake on the USA/Canada border?

18) Are governments doing the right thing in moving away from combustion to electric vehicles?
