Dear friends - Ed to reply, please.
Am I allowed to attend, as a member of the public, the Environment and Energy Board meeting on Wednesday, please?
What I have written below, I think is basic, elementary stuff that I should not need to spell out. The only terms of reference we need are for everyone who wishes, to be allowed to have their say in a polite, free and fair way. Followed by the decision-makers, having listened, to explain why, what we want to be done, is not being done, viz scrapping Metro and Sprint and redirecting the money to FFPT and insulation/PV solar for all on state benefits. Much more, too like proper bus lanes; no more building demolition and destruction of railways, etc ...
An open forum for polite, constructive criticism of the authorities to encourage and spur them into sensible action. Those are the only terms of reference that are needed!
Do you agree, Ed?

Hi Chris (Crean)IS THERE ANY HOPE FOR UNITED ACTION?The move to 'green' jobs and talk of climate crisis for years, now, is still not bringing about even a gram of reduction in deadly greenhouse gases. It is urgent that we all agree that the top priority is to STOP the massive, ongoing expenditure and emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) by insisting on the immediate curtailment of the £15 BILLION Metro expansion programme to convert some buses and trains into the "bus on rails" tram. STOP Metro WBHE and Eastside extension and Sprint extensions.TRANSFER THE MONEY to ...With energy prices rocketing, the top priority must be to help those on state benefits with their energy bills so that they can eat themselves and heat their homes. Massive insulation programme for them. Give everyone Fare-Free Public Transport and not just my age group ... etc ... 101 things can be done ... !
Am I still a lone voice crying in the wilderness?
Will anyone else join me?
