My wife and I are playing our part in using our savings to upgrade our home to minimise greenhouse gas emissions (GHG).
Our annual usage is over 6,000 kWh and we are trying to get that below 5,000 kWh over the next 12 months by cutting gas from Russia, America, the North Sea and using more of our annual electrical generation of 4,750 kWh for our own electric heating and cooking and less being exported for others to use.
I have slashed my car mileage by over 50% on what I did in 2019 in both 2020, 2021 and, all being well, again this year. As much as I can, I'm leaving finite fossil fuels in the ground for essential users.
