Dear friends
ALL FREEDOM OF INFORMATION QUESTIONS for all of you to cogitate over with some deep, wise, long thoughts - please!!
The nearby railway viaduct, Stambermill, on the same line is still carrying freight trains. So was Parkhead until the 1990s. Why are both not in use over the full 120 Kms between Worcester and Derby on the London, Black Country, Edinburgh mainline to relieve road chronic congestion and climate disaster?
Were both viaducts built at the same time? They must have been because they are on the same principal mainline railway
Stambermill must be even weaker with more heavy goods trains over a much longer period - still to this day. It is even more important that it is strengthened. Has it ever been done? It is in use now, I understand. Is that correct?
If you have rebuilt/strengthened Parkhead, as you have done, should you not do that with Stambermill?
Why are you not doing so?
Has Network Rail paid for any of the work on Parkhead Viaduct? Of course not. Silly me!
How much has it cost, so far?
