David, as a person wanting social justice and the Kingdom of God on earth, how does our taxes bringing trams (a wealth flaunting, fabulously expensive "bus on rails", as the UK Tram promotion group in Transport HQ puts it) to the B'ham City Football ground in yet another "deprived area", help the people there with high food and energy bills in their leaky, uninsulated, fossil fueled homes? The colossal expense of trams to the smart new Sports Quarter (to help the poor pay their bills!).
How do trams replacing trains and buses bring money to the poor of Chelmsley Wood who are wanting help with everyday bills?
Why not use the billions to give the lot of them the Fare-Free Public Transport I've had for 18.5 years?
