It takes two to have a war. You get attacked. If you hit back it is war. If you shower the invader with flowers, clowns and other gifts you may not get your every building flattened and every occupant slaughtered!
We chose to overlook Russian forces invading Georgia, Chechnya and Crimea. Quite apart from Afghanistan. In fact, we invaded that last country ourselves and then, after exactly 20 years left it in disarray, ruination and, famine a coming inevitability - in August 2021!
