- It removed subsidies for onshore wind power in England.

- Increased VAT on solar panels.
- Strongly encouraged UK fracking industries.
- Maintained tax relief for North Sea oil and gas.
- In 2016, the UK gave fossil fuel industries the largest subsidies of any EU state - over 12 bill Euros.
- Theresa May as PM, dissolved the Dept for Energy and Climate Change.
- Her government promoted fracking and airport expansion, while continuing to block onshore wind power.
- In 2018, Mrs May announced a freeze in fuel duty - the ninth consecutive yearly freeze.
