I would love to know, Maggie and Deborah, why you are not interested in saving the 120 Kms Black Country Railway "of national strategic significance". Freight at the Worcester and Derby ends. Even, as far as Round Oak, Tata Steel at Brierley Hill in Dudley borough - from Port Talbot Tata Steel works. Then, onwards NE for 56 Kms nothing BUT, every railway crossing of two motorways and countless main roads are all built! Did you forget the freight and passenger trains and stations? But that section is going for trams, a VLR test track and an extended cycle-walkway. Do you really want that, Maggie and Deborah? You must know Tony Berkeley, too.
