If you don't speak up, you are as guilty as the anonymous perpetrator

Dear CfBT

I am sorry to make more work for you.  However, such is the magnitude of the scandal I have uncovered, I do feel I am justified in asking for your help or, simply to urge you to act responsibly as a good citizen.

This is a UK, a national issue that brings both DfT, Network Rail, the railway industry, the trade unions all under the spotlight.  In addition, every MP I have approached shows not the slightest interest or concern.

I call it the biggest and longest-running transport/financial scandal in the history of the UK.  The UK's only, principal, mainline railway "of national strategic significance" (letter dated 8 March 2018 from DfT) ...
is wasted over half its length for decades and, is now being carved up.  Broken up into heavy rail and at least two, possibly three, different kinds of tram lines.  Over the decades, six Dudley borough lines have been built on and obliterated.  The last and seventh, the 120 Kms Black Country Mainline is not being obliterated but simply left unused and, now wrongly used over nearly half its length next to or near to congested motorways.  The 10 Kms in Dudley and Sandwell that is being wrongly used is being given over to light rail and very light rail trams with, possibly ultra-light rail, too.  All this mish mash of a multi-modal mix up is on the Derby, Dudley, Devon aka, Burton on Trent, Brierley Hill, Bristol principal mainline railway.

More is here:

Remember, that all this is quite deliberately done because everyone, even Mayor Andy Street, thinks that the only way to get motorists out of their cars is to introduce "multi-modal transport", as Andy wrote to me in one email.  The more changes there are between trains, three different kinds of trams and buses, the better!

Please act on your interest, your concern and expose this disgrace, this incompetence and negligence that escalates the climate emergency. Here is a catalogue of catastrophes by those who should know better.

Many thanks

Tim Weller
