I was successful in saving one - the Camp Hill (Kings Heath/Moseley) railway. The other two are lost forever, despite them saying, "Light rail (Metro) investment provides the basis for restoring heavy rail services at the appropriate time" (September 2000 letter).

FoE Warehouse down for demolition and conversion to ...
I have just written in my submission:-
"Because what you want to do (demolishing the FoE Warehouse) would NOT have been necessary if you had followed my advice and stopped the part conversion of our regional railway network into tramways, buildings and roads. The Victorian railway network had everything we need today. But you never kept/safeguarded Beeching's quite properly closed railways, for future use."
