putting Metro trams on TWO Brum/Black Country mainline railways;
using trams to get trains - "Light rail investment provides the basis for restoring heavy rail services at the appropriate time." Tom Magrath letter, Sept 2000 !!!
diverting the funds available for regional Fare-Free Public Transport for ALL, instead of (mainly) only OAPs like me;
starving funds from green hydrogen fuel cell electric buses and HGVs;
taking funds away from the 50 year old, pathetic 'effort' to electrify our railways when Switzerland did theirs in the 1920s and 30s; ...
... is the Silver Bullet to solve all our problems.
