Dear friends
As I see it, we are ALL disabled at different times in our lives from birth to death. I have never thought, let alone acted as though people with disabilities are dehumanised, abnormal or lacking in some form of capacity. I am sad that Bob thinks this. And, calls me an eco-fascist, too. That language should not be used in my opinion.
It is definitely the able-bodied like me (at present, only) and NOT people with disabilities who have done the most to exploit our natural capital of resources with such gay abandon that all life on earth is now threatened as we escalate the runaway greenhouse effect from all our fossil fuel burning and economic activity.
It is the able-bodied like me who have killed, murdered and maimed in countless wars and are still at it in arms manufacturing and trading that fuel the wars of us humans that only add to the number of people with disabilities.
We are all eco-socialists and members of the one human family. We either live in peaceful co-existence as brothers and sisters of that one family, however we might appear to others or, we perish as fools. Unfortunately, it is the able-bodied like me who are doing the most to ensure we do perish as fools. NOT people with disabilities. I am the problem, not Bob.
