Metro and Sprint. Both have been disastrous in destroying railway infrastructure and in delaying the return of freight and commuter trains in the Black Country and Brum on surviving railway lines.
Both are astonishingly expensive, second only to HS2 and, take public funds that could be more sensibly spent on getting the two main modes of public transport as least as good as the average on the mainland of Europe.
Both are wasting precious finite resources that we need to conserve and use more wisely to fight the climate emergency.
